You may hear the phrase “Buyer’s Agency” and ask what that means to you. When you enter into a buyer agency, with a specific Real Estate Brokerage, you are then represented by that brokerage. The buyer gives that brokerage company exclusive rights to locate a property & negotiate the purchase of the property, for & with the buyer.
While a Buyer’s Agency agreement is not a requirement for a transaction, this agreement (in contract form) gives your agent the ability to provide services to you as their client. Per Wisconsin law, and without a signed buyer agency agreement, know that all agents in the state of Wisconsin work exclusively for the seller.
